The Speed of Surround

Perpetual Groove had just finished recording their second full length record and wanted to do something entirely new for their album release tour. Several concepts were tabled in favor of undertaking an auditory experience that had never been executed before: a full 5.1 surround sound concert with real time instrument manipulation. It was a tremendous undertaking for an organization that had very little money to support such a grandiose idea. The ten show tour featured a state of the art 5.1 surround sound system and integrated a lot of bleeding edge technology at the time.
